Purchased a 2 hour Mino HD last month. Lovely camera hardware. Video quality is good to very good but not excellent. Audio quality is good, at best. Camera is easy to use. Unfortunately, that's where the good news ends.....
The problems begin when you use the Flipshare V5.05 software. For one, titling doesn't work. As soon as you try to add a title or credit screen the flipshare software crashes 100% of the time. 4 computers I've tried it on, 3 x Windows XP SP3 and 1 x Vista x86. Cannot get it to work on any of them. Flip support is helpless (though they are courteous and friendly) and cannot provide a solution. They admit a problem exists in V4.51 and V5.05, but cannot give an ETA for fixed software. So, I'm disappointed as my plans for this camera included title screens on all videos. Now it sits idle waiting for these wingnuts to fix their software. Ho hum.
After browsing forum sites it seems Flipshare has many problems. Lovely!!!. Maybe Cisco should hire some competent engineers to redesign the Flipshare app.
Stay away until they provide a stable Flipshare app.
**UPDATE - 2nd level support at Flip acknowledges this problem. They refuse to give an ETA for a fix. I reiterate, DO NOT BUY until this is fixed. Flipshare is junk**

As the title states, each time I tried to record a movie, the Flip would freeze every time I would try to stop the recording. I emailed their customer support stating my issue, and their answer was for me to send it back and they'd replace it in 3-4 weeks. I was detailed in my description of the problem and I asked other questions such as, "Is this common, will this keep occurring, etc. But instead, all I received was a computer generated, "Send it in," response. Beings I bought this at a popular electronics store, I was able to return it within my 30 day period.
I tried to like the device. It worked well with my macbook pro. The picture quality was very good in my opinion. However, beings that it is only situated in your hand like a stick, any slight hand movement will cause the video to be choppy. With all of the videos I was able to save, the constant shaky/unsteady picture in these videos reinforces my good decision to return the product. Unless you have a tripod, I don't recommend the Flip as your "go-to" video camera. I give it one star for customer support, the endless crashing of the device, and no still videos. For a few extra dollars, you can get yourself a real camcorder.

I just bought this today, with reservations with the negative reviews I saw with it working with MAC's. I have a Macbook Pro (OS 10.6.2) and it works great with it!!! Fits in easily into the USB port and I was easily able to record a video and upload it into IMovie quickly. If you look at the Flip website, it says it's MAC compatible with a 2.0 USB port (which mine has) so I am not sure if this was the issues others were having. But this Flip works fantastic with my MAC (so far at least)... Great device too! Small, good quality....love it so far!

Love this camera!! Very easy to use and convenient to take anywhere. The battery life is good and the only thing i would change is the size of the screen.

I read all of the bad reviews... and also the good reviews. I was really hoping I would get lucky and the Mino HD would fit my computer. I wanted this to work with my MacBook Pro and unfortunately, as many reviewers already said, the USB connector simply will not fit. Despite the many warnings to stay away from this product, I bought it anyway hoping if it did not fit my Mac that it would fit one of my other computers, which are PC's.
I tested it on 4 computers and it didn't fit one of them. I would think making a USB connector that fits would have been the simple part of designing this camcorder. Bad move Flip!
I am returning this poorly designed product.
