I wasn't willing to spend the money for the Nikon brand wired or wireless remote shutter release and opted for this instead. It has accompanied my camera set-up on my best long exposure shots. Highly recommended!

I purchased this product for my Nikon D300 and for those infrequent times I need a remote shutter release. Knowing how often this will be used, I've decided to go with non-Nikon accessory due to it's price.
My initial response to the product when I took the product out of it's box is how cheap it felt. It is very light and plastic used to mold the shutter release itself feels cheap. However, it does not feel like it is going to break apart in an instant. The shutter release button doesn't feel as solid as the camera's shutter release. Half pressing the shutter release feels too light and does not require much pressure, however, full press to release the shutter feels good and does the job. The connector looks good, pins look straight and solid. When I first plugged in to the camera, it was rather a tight fit so I repeated the process to loosen up the plastic a bit.
All in all, as a non-Nikon product it does the job flawlessly as it was intended. I would recommend this product to casual users but for pros, I can't say how long it may last.

I ordered this remote shutter release for my Nikon D200. It does a great job, works well, has a nice long cord, and sure beats the price of a Nikon shutter release. I used a small "dab" of white paint to mark and match up the white mark on my camera body for easier insertion of the remote plug without any guesswork, which works just fine! Got it in time, does what it's suppose to do, good price compared to similar Nikon products. Only complain is that I wish they had a 6' version product. For what I need 118" is too much. That's it.
