This lens came a lot faster than I expected! So props for that. I'm fairly new to DSLR use so that's why I figured i'd take a stab at it and bought a random lens. I had no one in particular and this one just happened to pop up while I was looking at a package deal. The quality isn't so bad and it's nice to get wider shots. It is a tiny weeny bit blurry, but trust me it's not bad. You're paying $8.00 for it so you shouldn't expect miracles. It does it job and does it well. The quality of the macro is ok as well. Like another person said, the center is focused and the edges are a bit blurry. I'd recommend it for beginners like myself. The bag came with it as well as described.

I received the lens only 6 days after ordering it, and the initial results were great for the price of the lens. I tested it on a Nikon with a 18-55 kit lens and it vignetted the corners like expected but allowed me to capture more of the room with only a small amount of detail loss (which was only noticeable in photoshop when looking at the images @ 100%). Still testing the Macro mode, which seems to let you get extremely close. I think it's well worth the investment of $8.

I got this for the macro but I love the wide angle so much. I got it today 03-26-10, I used it in Chicago for my photos of the Bean and they turned out great for me.

This lens adapter works great with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ5. It's not a huge difference--not like a fish-eye or anything, but it does increase your field of view, for taking pictures of rooms, etc. The macro portion may come in handy sometimes, as well. The vignetting on my camera is very slight, and partly a function of my camera's lens adapter setup. You certainly can't beat it for the price, though! Also, New Harbor customer service is excellent. Ships fast, very responsive and accommodating.

Based off of the two reviews I was unsure how good of a lens attachment I would be receiving, but for $7.99 I threw the dice.
I received this lens attachment a few short days after ordering and it screwed onto the front of my 18 to 55mm (D60) lens without any issue. (the lens attachment is made of metal and glass -- it feels good and sturdy).
After taking several photos I noticed that when set to the widest angle possible the corners vignette and get blurred.
For some this might be a complete turn off, for others it might mean that you just found the best accessory to add to your camera bag for eight bucks. When set to just about any setting other than the widest no vignetting is noticable.
I think it's a perfect new toy for anyone willing to experiment with accessories.
If you want to see what the vignetting looks like here is a link to my official review along with numerous shots that I took with this lens.
