I bought this camera for Christmas in 2009 and now only 4 months later it already stopped working! I took a trip to San Antonio and when I turned on my camera to take pictures the image on the screen froze and I could not turn the camera off. I mailed it into Nikon for a repair since it has a one year warranty and I got an email saying it would cost me $107 to fix it!!! That's almost the same amount I paid for the camera. Thank goodness Amazon keeps a record of your online purchases so I can fax in a copy of my order proving it's still under the 1 year warranty. I still dont think it's a good sign the camera broke so quickly and I am worried about the cost of repairs once my warranty runs out.
I also havent really been impressed with the picture quality either. A lot of my photos have come out blurry and overexposed. I wish now I had spent a little more and gotten a Canon.

I wanted a small digital camera that was easy to use, had great features, and a reasonable price. Found the perfect camera when I ordered the Nikon Coolpix S570 12MP Camera from Amazon. The vibration reduction, 2.7 Inch LCD, and video features are a plus. In addition, the close up shots of my flowers in the garden are fantastic. I love it, my husband loves it, and the photos of our grandchildren are priceless. It's one of the best gifts I've ever given myself. Thanks!

This camera does everything I wanted it to do for the size, specs and price. If you are looking for more than a point & shoot, you would be pushing the envelope, so look for a higher spect camera and be prepaired to spend more money. I was looking for a small go everywhere camera to get those just in case pictures. I used to cary a Minox all the time but this is quite the upgrade. Thank you for those that were part of this type of camera design.

I returned this item on Jan. 18th. along with the 4 Gig card. I have yet to receive credit for the camera. They were both sent in the original Amazon boxes and taped together. Could someone let me know the status of my return ??
