The camera isn't going to set records. If you are a pro, or think you are, this might not be for you. But it is for me!! I have had the camera for a little over a month now and I can only think of one bad thing. It doesn't come with the mini HDMI cable it needs. I picked one up for $4 on eBay. The pictures are great. They are clear....sharp....good color. The video isn't going to be the best you have ever seen but it is good enough for most needs. You can zoom while using your video which is nice.
I'd tell anyone considering a camera to look at this one.

I decided to give this camera a try after all the positive reviews I have seen not only in Amazon, but CNET,Simon, etc. I did a lot of research. I wanted to buy a SLR camera but at the same time I did not want to break the bank.
The camera came and just out of the box and could not take a decent picture. Images came grainy and blurry. I asked in here several times about shutter lag. Some of the other users do not seem to experience any problems with it. I took some pictures of my very active two year old. The only thing that I got was ghostly images of a kid running away completely out of focus.
So I learn my lesson there is not short cuts I will spend the extra $300-$400 for an entry level SLR instead. I took the camera to best buy two days after the purchase. Maybe I got a bad one because my experience does not correlate with all the great reviews that I have seen from previous owners.

I was looking to buy a new camera since i gave mine away.
I decided to buy this one because it appeared to me as a good deal $280(including tax)
Big mistake, this camera is good only to take pictures of landscapes.
I decided to change my camera exactly because it didn't took great pictures inside my house and in low light.
Well so didn't this one.
It doesn't worth the money you pay for it.
It is just OVERRATED.
Well, the only thing that is cool about this camera is the 15x optical zoom.
But I won't pay $280 just for the Zoom!!!!
You can do much better with the money.

We have had the camera for almost a month now and so far happy with it.
Great LCD, recovery time between shots, automatic mode great for amateurs. Have used it for indoor and outdoor, and night time shots with no problems. The reason I bought this camera was for the 15X zoom as my old camera had a 6X and it didn't quite do the job. The only problem so far is we're having trouble getting the HD video to play back on our HDTV. This may be operator error but have not had a chance to thoroughly investigate why it is not working properly. It plays alright as a non high-def video though. Overall a great product.
